I don't have any pictures of my first Mopar.  Or my second, or third, or fourth...  It's a travesty really.  Here's a list from the first to the current.  It's only the last couple of years that I have pictures of though.   Like this one of my most recent "stable".

1980 - 1984: 1973 JF1-Pale Green Dodge Charger.  318 2-barrel.  I beat the ever-lovin' crap out of that poor car. Granted, I was even more ignorant than I am now - I was only 16 -  but there's really no excuse for how poorly that car was treated.  Some of the more stupid stunts I pulled:
  • Painted racing stripes on the hood and trunk.  With a spray can.  Without surface prep.  Without sealing it.
  • Jacked up the rear by installing a set of coil springs out of a 3/4 ton pickup.  Talk about a rough ride!
1983 - 1986: 1979 Metallic Frost Blue Chrysler Cordoba with the Corrrrrrrinthian leather interior.  318 2-barrel.  This car was a repossession that I picked up for a reasonable amount of money.  Unfortunately, the thing always smelled like cigar smoke and the headliner had little black polka-dots all over it where the smoke had penetrated the vent holes.  When I left the Air Force, this car was repossessed  from me for non payment.  Ironic, eh?

My favorite story about his car was the time I was driving "down the hill" from Victorville to San Berdoo - a long, downhill, wicked grade road where your car will accelerate to in excess of 100MPH just by coasting.  I started to smell something funny and my engine light came on.  I coasted down the rest of the hill and pulled over to the side of the road to let the car cool down.  The longer I sat, the worse things started to smell so I got out (not a wise thing to do with cars whizzing past at 80+) and looked under the hood.  I didn't see anything unusual, so I looked under the car.  My catalytic converter was glowing white hot, and had actually started a small grass fire under my car.  I pulled up a few feet to stomp out the fire and I ended up waiting a good half-hour before it cooled off enough to drive again.

Of course, I never did change the catalytic converter.  Who's got money for that kind of crap?

I have more stories than you can shake a stick at surrounding this poor car though.  Check out this Air Force story, or my St. Joseph story.

1984 - 1985: 1969/1970 Charger.  Parts car.  1970 front clip on a 1969 body.  Never amounted to anything, and never ran.
1985 - 1990: 1973 (GM) Charcoal Ontario Gray Charger SE.
1989 - 1990: 1973 GK6-Bronze Metallic Charger SE.  Parts car.  Man did my mom hate looking at those things sitting in her front yard.
1991 - 1994: 1976 Dart.
1997 - 1999: 1996 Chrysler Sebring JX convertible.
1997 - Present: 1970 Plum Crazy Challenger.  This baby has her own page.
1998 - Present: 1998 Dodge Neon
1999 - 2000: 1999 Dodge Durango
2000 - Present: 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser Limited Edition
